My father and I were born in the house I still live in when I'm at the farm which is about 50% of my time. Still own all of the farm which grew over the years that my grandfather owned it. My father was born in 1901 and I was born in 1936. No electricity until 1937. My first Christmas tree had candles on it. I should add that although we had no electricity we did have a milking machine in 1914. We had a whole bunch of those little gas engines that you now occasionally see at farm shows and fairs. All of them went for scrap metal in the early 40s.
