I do know the part number. 313942R92. I did find an A & I thermostat with that part number in inventory at a John Deere Store. The brass like adapter was too big in diameter and no way would fit anyplace. Maybe it was mis-packaged. Wouldn't be the first time that it occurred. That is sort of what has confused me as to where a thermostat goes when it would just be so simple to put the $8.00 auto parts store one where the gasket goes. But I remember I did dig a rubber gasket out of that casting.
