Hello, I am having a problem with my MF 135 hydraulic lift. Basically, the lift arms do nothing at all. I can easily lift them and move them up and down by hand, which I feel like is not supposed to be possible. I can hear movement inside, which I assume is the piston moving back and forth.
I will try to explain what I have done in more detail: My original problem and reason for diving into it was, the position control did not work at all but draft control did. Following the shop manual and information found on forums here and elsewhere, I removed the lift cover to investigate. I saw where the roller had slipped out of place, as mentioned by a user in another thread. I then reinstalled the lift and side covers, refilled with hydraulic fluid, and cranked up the tractor to discover things worse than when I began the repairs.
Can anyone please advise on what I may have missed, or if I could have broken something without knowing? Should the lift arms be moveable by hand? Again, the only thing I (intentionally) changed was slipping the position control roller back in place, so that the pump lever moves forward in down setting and back in up setting (it does similarly when testing the draft control) - I did not do anything at all with the lift arms and the piston/cylinder.
