Thanks to all vets! I think of dad a lot, especially today. It's the only day he skipped work. 36 years and only ever used his vacation except for veterans day. He would do the poppy thing then he and I would go to the VA hospital and just visit with vets. Saw the same one like 4 yrs in a row. Dad was very proud. He has been gone 32 years, passed at 58. He always wanted to live near Kentucky lake, Lake Barkley. That never entered my mind till after I bought this house 3 miles from Lake Barkley. So now I think of him even more, every time we're on the water or pass either lake. He enlisted in the navy at 17 (1947), got out in 58. I showed up in 59.
