Bought a new 6volt battery, amp gauge and aftermarket 6volt negative ground regulator. Hooked everything up, fired up the tractor, touched a jumper wire from reg. arm. post to battery + post on reg. Generator only charges when the jumper wire is in contact with arm. post and battery post on the regulator. What do I need to do? Should I try a cut out? Thanks Z/
