If yours is a flathead read further, otherwise ignore. These came in two different versions. Long and short, Long having a head that measures 25 front to back, the other 23. The long version was used in Chrysler and Desoto cars in the US, and in all vehicles in Canada, /the short one was used in Plymouth and Dodge in the US. The 23 can be stamped with either ID depending on it's original use. The head can sometimes also have a brand cast on it they can be either 218 or 230 CI displacement depending on the stroke. All parts are the same between the two with the exception of the crankshaft and rods.
If it has a Dodge id and measures 23, just get parts for any make or model with the same stroke.
