Yes, if you have a Delco Remy distributor there is a cam (eccentric) screw that is used to adjust the contact points gap. It does not tighten down it is free to turn around and around, with a bit of resistance. Slightly loosen the outer screw, which tightens down on the point base and locks the points in place, once adjusted. The points base has a hole that fits around the head of the cam screw. Turning the eccentric cam screw moves the points base to change the gap with the arm contact. Using a screwdriver to hold the cam screw prevents the points base from moving while tightening the outer lock screw.
