Working on a Case La 6 volt neg. ground generator GBM 4809. 2 wires coming out of generator, neither identified, both the same. When applying 6 volts to each wire, the rear wire (closest to brushes) makes the generator run clockwise (facing the pulley). When applying 6 volts to the front wire (closest to pulley) the generator runs slower and counterclockwise. Is one wire the field and the other the Gen.? Can a 6 volt cut out or any 6 volt regulator be used on this generator? Thanks Z/
