Jessie and 007 you can protect the 10g wire with a 30 amp breaker and not worry about it. My welder has worked just fine and yet to trip the 30 amp breaker and I do most of my welding on the 120 amp setting. BTY, the lincoln 225(20% duty) is for a diy hobby welder not the professional who would most likely have 300 amp 100% duty or a motor driven welder (100%) on the back of his service truck.
I read someplace, the duty cycle is based on the 150 amp range not the 225 range. And the ambient temp is 70 degrees..
