I was spoiled by a NH bale wagon. Feed that baler as much as it would eat to get a good bale and not have a wagon behind. Our bale wagon had the side unload feature so when I was done baling I could go stack like a wild man to catch up to what Pa had in the barn already. Pa and I could do 5-800 easily in a day. I would often help the neighbor who was a bachelor with a hired man. Best we did was 2100 with four guys, four kicker racks on a long day.
Either way we had to eat and milk somewhere in there.
