Pumps on touch control systems like the one on the Cub have a tendency to loose oil into the crank shaft due the seal getting bad or the shaft getting worn enough to make it leak past any seal you can put in. First thing to do is check the oil in the reservoir and if empty see what the oil level is for the engine. There is also a filter in the reservoir that could be plugged up and needs cleaning or replacement. If the reservoir is leaking from various places there is a rebuild kit available which is mostly o-rings and a couple of gaskets.
