That Case steamer was rode hard and battled well over a bunch of bangs and dents and i would not be surptised if the poor fella did finally blow its top . was it from being worn out ? probably not , My guess from all the battle scars is that after many years of service someone goyt a little careless with the water level and the boiler plate ran redhot .. it was running when it quit
