I don't know if there is a feasible way to fix that.I thought I was going to come up with a way to deal with that problem back in the 90's,the machine shop wanted $100.more for their part that it cost for me to buy used parts.I always bought used skid steer parts from Shafer Equipment in Wolf Creek Illinois.I have bought the complete engine end unit from them too,the last one was $450.complete.They never liked to break up a complete unit for one part,but they did always seem to be running into units with the outside part damaged.
