I would like to replace the PTO shaft shield on my brush cutter. It is a metal one and there are dents in it that prevent it from telescoping correctly and some damage to the bearings that the shield rides on near the universal joints. The shaft male portions is nominally 1.25 square. Am I out of luck?
What else do I measure to attempt to get the right parts. I do not want to operate this with out a shield, I just read some pretty scary statistics on PTO shaft safety yikes!
