Well I'm glad to say that my county in Kentucky must be very progressive compared to other places. Every year we have a designated day when citizens and farmers can bring in all their old tires for free recycling. This is a big Ag county and folks bring tires in by the hundreds or thousands. It's been going on for years. The county then ships them on to a recycling center. It's a great program and has made a huge difference in the number of old tires hidden behind the barns of our county. We have a similar program day to bring in empty chemical jugs for recycling...good program.

The closest town to ours was only 3 miles away, and there were seven dairy farms in the areas of these two country towns.
