Have the blades made contact with the deck? Problem with newer mowers is that the blade carrier bend easily and allows the blades to rise such that it is cutting weeds on the bend of the blades instead of the tips. New blades or sharpening old ones are not going to help that much. If your blades are still mowing flat and don't vibrate, I would do what others suggested.
