I think the F is Farmall, The Farmall A was FAA later continued with the Super A. The Farmall B prefix was FAB, the Farmall BN would have had the prefix FABN. Possibly the first A (ie. FA) signified the A series Farmalls as they all had the dame components. The Farmall H was FBH and the Farmall M was FBK so maybe the B indicated the larger Farmall arrangement as apart from size they were similar in layout. The Farmall BN was 8 inches narrower than the Farmall B, 4 inches each side.
