Run them they will last a lot longer. If you are worried that bad there are several places you can get wheels. I would just run them till they were about down to the end of the tread. Put a set of old pickup tires on it. Nothing to it just put them on with the flap and tube and go to work. When you change them if you are that worried about the ring coming off bolt it to the trailer bacwards and inflate then if it came off it would go into the trailer not you.
