Good mornin Barnyard, I hope alls well your way. Im sure it matters what area and neighborhood/community one lives and no two places are alike, but where I live at least its more typical that the older generation DOES HELP EDUCATE THE YOUNGER. For example, I have volunteered to assist at local high school FFA classes with old tractor electrical education and gave several workshops/seminars at national antique tractor shows with many younger generation students. I figure its pay it forward and Im glad to help as the older generation and my uncles and grandfather helped me when I was a young whipper snapper lol. However its sad indeed if there are locations/neighborhoods/communities where the older generation doesn't want to take the time or be bothered helping the young grrrrrrrrrrr
