Pretty easy to pot the tops off then you pry the spring idler over and thro the belt off. Then turn each spindle one at a time. You will probably find that the blade that hit the tire has a bent shaft or maybe just a busted bearing. Not a bad job to put a bearing in the spindle. I highly doubt it is in the gearbox. The gearbox on those is really sturdy . Once you get the belt off you should be able to isolate the place anyway.
