I did not realize the river flows that far north and East! Learned something today.
I would think by the time the water gets to the Missouri River it will be absorbed into the bigger water system with only minor issues? But it is still a big deal.
Locally here in Minnesota a small area on a small river got 7 inches of rain in a day, it severely flooded the small river by Redwood Falls and created moderate flooding all the way down to New Ulm. We were fortunate to not have much snow melt this spring so the rivers were quite low for the season, as we have had some really heavy snow melts and rains the past decade, the flooding was moderate around here, the low areas were abandoned or disked up over the past years.
