This is the time of year when there is a lot of it needs done. I mowed around the outside of one field at my home place today, Then down the road to another. There is a spinster that owns it and lives there. Her mother died at around 95 two years ago. She has done nothing for the place in fifteen years. The neighbors son mowed the lawn for a few years but not for ten years now. I rotary mow all around the house twice a year. The place is getting overgrown with out of control ornamentals and bittersweet. I have cut and sprayed bittersweet every year and cut back around the windows so that a little light can get in. Yesterday I noticed in back that the soffits are bad enough that the squirrels are in the attic now.
