With what tractors of all sizes are bringing, strike while the iron is hot. In 2014 when I went in for a tricky double bypass in my arm, I sat down with the wife, daughters and their husbands. Wrote a list of what needed to be gone, haul the cattle and hogs to the sale barn. Have a buddy list the two teams of horses and harness. Then rent out everything but the back pasture so the grandkids could keep their ponies and 4H calves. It was all planned. Be enough handwringing wanted them to know not to keep stuff because it was mine. Liquidate and move on with their lives. Thankfully they didn't have to, but be careful of poisonous words to the existing family.
