In the last 40 years they must have figured out how to keep them Deeres together now. I remember going down to the Silver dome and watching the pull down there. Back then the old IH's would run the roost there. Seemed like the Deere models then would gut something out and be done. The modified class pulling there usually did pretty good at holding together there. Had a Turbine engine one year and others. Smoke would get so thick it was hard to breathe and see if you were up high. Super stock class a guy from Ithaca MI would bring an old grubby looking 856 and won a few times I was there. Didn't have to be shiny to win he always told them.
