Next year, start at the dead furrow in the middle and plow to the outsides of the garden. Alternate plowing directions each year. With a larger semimount plow, you could raise the back end of the plow relative to the front end to avoid digging as deep a dead furrow at the finish.
This is the me and the semimounted plow I used in the 1970s. Got so good at hiding the dead furrow that I couldn't find where to start the back furrow the next year.
