Just keep in mind that while Deere has kept the same J20C name over the years, the actual spec has changed. 1975 Hygard was not the same as what you get today. The older oil was about 20w. The advent of IVT drives forced them to go to the multi grade oil used today.
I have not come across a farm store brand J20C equivalent yet that is the thicker multi grade.
