My preferred methods, weld a nut on, drill heat quench (repeat) use square easy out. Welding a nut on has surprised me a few times, sometimes you need to repeat it. Sometimes its best to heat and pound before you twist it off. The craziest success I ever had was on a lug nut holding on an aluminum wheel. We had tried about every thing and the nut was a rounded off mess. I lite the torch and aimed it at the stud and when the stud started to melt I hit the O2. It blew the stud out of the center of the nut clear down to the axel flange. Not a mark on the wheel.
