Glad you found it. The SP on the end means Special. Now what is special about it I likely couldn't tell you. Caterpillar stamped SP if something was different from the basic build. For example I had a D4 Traxcavator serial 7U prefix that had SP on it. Before Cat bought Traxcavator they would sell dozers to Traxcavator or to the dealers and they would fit them with the loader. The Traxcavator model had a longer undercarriage than a standard D4, hence the SP for Special on the Serial tag.
