the first to say I have no idea what you have there.
Pony starter motors for JD R model diesels came to be
in 1949. There is also a 1939 pony motor for a D2 but it
was built by Caterpillar. Maybe you are talking about a
..hit and miss.. style engine with the name of ..pony..
So red paint is more my wheel house. Otherwise, know
enough about other things to just be dangerous.
