My brother always puts a snow fence up to keep the drifts from blocking his driveway. My girlfriend's neighbor would blow the snow out of his yard. We didn't know why until this year. He died and the renters didn't do anything and the driveway to my GFs house has drifted shut numerous times. A landowner plows the snow in his field, which is next to a state highway. I believe he does it to stop the snow from drifting across the highway. Next year you should become pro active in stead of waiting for it to happen again. Hopefully next year GFs landlord will do something else also, but I doubt it.
