Personally I dont think they will return. They will be subject to pollution regulations as well, will have even more electronic junk on them ( walker lawn mowers have EFI on 25 hp engines now, for example). They will not be legal for sale in Cali after 2024. Bringing back gas tractors means more than retooling the foundry. A whole new system of software for todays emissions will need to be created. With all the study of batteries and motors and desire to be emissions free by 2035, I dont see gasoline tractors on the horizon.
