AGM batteries can be installed on their side and are certified for light aircraft use. And they can be installed in enclosures with very little venting needed. Thus my need for one to mount inside the cab in a sealed box with only a small hose to the outside. Similar to the interior installation in a lot of newer cars. Grandson's GMC SUV had it under the passenger floor in front of the second row seat. Specified as AGM only.
Maintenance free can be AGM, or simply a sealed flooded cell battery with 'normal' plates.
