George Is it a good idea to replace the TPSM when I have new tires installed?
In my opinion when to replace a TPMS sensor isnt absolutely and necessarily tied to whenever you just happen to replace your tires, but the age and condition of the sensors or manufacturers recommendations. I have never automatically replaced the sensors just because the tires were worn. HOWEVER if I throw a TPMS code obviously they get replaced WELL DUH lol.
FWIW as long as they are working and no codes exist I dont as a matter of regular routine maintenance replace them, Ive seldom had any go bad even in cars over 10 years old.
As always TO EACH THEIR OWN when it comes to auto maintenance, replace them each time you but tires,,,,,,,,,,,,every x years,,,,,,,,,,,,,in accordance with manufactureres recommendations,,,,,,,,,,any time a code pops up,,,,,,,,,
