If I recall, I might be wrong, its been a long time ago, The pulley on the generator has to be put on the alternator because the generator pulley uses a wider belt. Need an impact to get the pulley off. The generator was + ground, alternator negative ground. So the wiring has to be changed, get rid of the voltage regulator and rewire the ammeter. I made my own wiring harness.
I think I had to modify both mounting brackets to get the pulleys to line up.
It's not rocket science. May need a welder to make brackets fit. Again, not 100%, I've slept since I did the job.
