As I age, I have a need for something to start my various small engines. I have used this item on my Honda powered air compressor, Honda 8HP generator, 9HP Swisher brush cutter, push lawn mower, and even the chainsaw. To use, I removed the recoils and start using the crankshaft nut. On the chainsaw, I had to drill a hole a little bigger than the socket through the housing on the clutch side. I left the recoil on the chainsaw. I also mount the chainsaw in a vise attached to the pickup receiver. This is what I use. It is a self contained unit with a battery. It is a one-direction unit and that is why I use the clutch side on the chainsaw. Everything is clockwise. Works really good!
