Poulan was never high on the list of great chainsaws. I have a Poulan woodshark. When it would work was a good saw. mines hard to start. But then, it has poor compression, scored cylinder etc Parts to repair it are under 25.00 on eBay. Lots of stuff available on e bay Depends on what shape it is in. If the cylinder and rings are good, then thorough cleaning of the fuel system will give you a good saw. Not spectacular, but acceptable. just imho Kris
