Dad had both axles snap off the IHC 300 in different years. They were too small and they were hardened wrong, they crystallized. Once was row cultivating, belly mount 4 row cultivator. Other one was just harrowing a field, 4 section harrow. Dad was kinda slow paced so he wouldnt have stressed the tractor any extra.
Neighbor had a newer IHC, mounted corn picker, he was going down the county road in road gear when a rear axle snapped off. That had to be exciting ride.
Cant believe they dueled that one up, as weak as IHC axles were for a time.
