I from past use. Do know the more water they hold helps with heating and the size made a big difference in the fire holding. Dad tried a Woodmaster 4400 it would do the job but needed firing at least twice a day to work through the night. He traded for a 5500 and now can fire it twice a day and not have to fill it up completely to keep it warm in the house during the colder weather. Baseboard hot water holds the heat and heats more evenly than forced air. I have the air he has the baseboard and his is always the same temperature in the house through out the house.
