I think the point is at the end of the battery cable whether it connects to the remote solenoid like the ford solenoid or the solenoid mounted on the starter like most other starters have it will still be the 12 volts on a 12 volt system nothing to magically change that unless there is a weak battery or a poor connection along the line.
