Dad use to wright things down on a calendar. Bob wrecked car, Bill's shed burnt down. No church today (snow). You get the idea. Some days he wouldn't wright anything down (nothing eventful happened). Jan. 1 he would start a new calendar and review last year's calendar. Would actually read it out loud if other family members were sitting around on new year's day. It was amazing what all skipped your mind, or didn't realize that it had just happened in the past year (and not further back). I don't keep a diary. And only wright down bill paying stuff I need to keep track of on the calendar.
