A very real example of the end of the small family fa many of us grew up on. Funny part is, 40-50 years ago when this farm produced dairy, the products were just as affordable to consumers then as they are now. Truthfully we are no better off with Mega farms as far as price and quality of products, but far worse off because instead of having independent farm families on each farm, buying goods within their community, creating jobs for others, filling churches and schools with kids. People having a future within the community they live. We now have a transient population of disenfranchised impoverished people with no roots or hope , working at minimum wage jobs. It didnt have to happen this way, I watched it happen, lived through it, and still dont understand. Just driven by greed and laziness I guess.
