the john deere 50 was the ih 300 competition. other tractors in about the same time period, ihc tractors were on top of the others in that time period till around 1960. they also had the live pto. cockshutt was actually the first to come out with live pto. in the middle 50's were case 300, massey harris 33, m.m. z. cockshutt 30, kinda around the same h.p.
