I'd personally avoid if it's the hydra-shift, but arguably if it's a hydra-shift and still running fine it's likely a good tractor.
David Brown lineage and solid enough really. I wouldn't rule oneout if nice condition, keep in mind that series were orphaned in favor of the IH built tractors that size by Case-IH if that says anything. Case-IH only sold the 1394/1494/1594 to offer a 4 speed power shift and 6cyl power (that the 85 series didn't have) until the Maxxum was ready in 89.
