It sounds like you may be more familiar with Russell Mason and can help with something. I am in Limestone County, AL. In the 1990's we would go to Hammer's Department store when it was on the square in Winchester. We would also go by Russell Mason at times to see what Oliver/ White farm toys they had. I have an 1850 that Russell Mason sold new to a customer south of Ardmore. It still has the Russell Mason stickers on it. It came from the second owner who knew the original buyer. The model number states that the tractor was built narrow front. It is wide front now. My Dad talked to the second owner yesterday. He asked if the tractor included the narrow front with it when it was bought from the original owner. The second owner said he never knew of the tractor having a narrow front. Is it possible that Russell Mason would have changed the front end at the customers request before delivering it?
