Often, tractor dealerships loan tractors to parades, old tractor shows & such. Often used to pull wagons or light duty work like that. If there's a bunch of wear on the hitch system, that'd be a some concern to me.
If you bought it out of state because of a better deal rather than the local guy, you opened yourself up for a options to get the price down that you did not question at the time of purchase.
