Bought one way back in 98 or 99, got flashed pretty good using a 300 dollar rig that we had in the shop. Was working in an aluminum extrusion place and ran a lot of miles of wire through the welders while I was there. My cheapie worked quite well.
Later on I worked at a lumber factory and had to do some welding up in a moulding machine, lots of obstructions, got flashed several times using the supplied Miller rig. Figure the sensors weren't in optimal spots...
Currently have a newer HF rig that handles anything I can throw at it....It has adjustable shades
