Is there a bolt on plate on the right side of the engine??? If there is then you have a WD engine. If it doesn't have that plate then its a WD45 engine. Is the shifter stright or does it have a little curve to it. If it has a curve to it then its either a very later WD or a WD45 tranny rear end. Most parts will swap from the WD and the WD45 and after 50 years you never know for sure. I have both a WD and a WD45 and if I didn't know what to look for I would have the same problem you have other then I can read the serial numbers on the left rear end houseing under the brake plate on the flat spot there
