By rotary rake do you mean tedder ? We have a 2 basket deutz fahr tedder pto driven. Like mentioned check the gearboxes. Ours is I believe aluminum. I know its not steel. Dad broke ours when the tines dug into the dirt while crossing a few shallow ruts in the field. Broke both gearboxes. We had them tig welded back together. Following year he did the same thing, only after that they were beyond repair. We found replacements off a Deutz not a deutz fahr that were heavier and thats whats on it now. We no longer use it in that field because it has rough spots. Replacement parts were around 7 or 8 hundred dollars.
