I will add look over the air intake for rodent nesting, look the electrical system for chewing.
Be sure you have a known good battery and all connections are clean and tight.
Have the wrench ready to disconnect the battery quickly, just in case. Have a fire extinguisher close by.
Have a plan to block the air intake if it runs away.
Loosen all the gear case, hydraulic, and engine drain plugs and check for water before starting. A lot easier to get the water out first, before it gets whipped into an emulsified mess!
