my brother hauled my birthday present home for me this morning. Serial # 6705AS, 1955 model and purrs like a kitten, with still great oil pressure at an idle. Power steering works well, you can see the belt driven pump on the left side. Not sure what kind of PS, whether it is IH or aftermarket, and can't find my book that tells what the A and S are for in the serial#. Fast hitch is the later style, not the bellcrank one.
I also picked up this early 1900s threshing machine last week at a farm auction about 8 miles from me.
It was a very good week, and I got done combining corn Thursday, too. Earliest ever.
